The depressing thing is…

Most of the people around me are talking about National Service. They keep going..

“Which coy you in?”


“Do you wanna go OCS/SCS?”


They start singing and typing cheers and songs and stuff.

I don’t quite get the fascination with National Service – people (the boys) are like talking about it EVERYWHERE – Facebook, Twitter, as well as day to day communication. Truly, it only comes to show how much people have in common. They then go on and talk about trainings and start comparing and judging their current state of being.

It’s stupid and this environment is killing my inspiration. I’m losing my facade of positivity and optimism for National Service.

Seriously on what grounds does a conversation or remark on boot polishing or singing or whatever become a proper, mentally engaging and enriching conversation?
